Alice in Wonderland — Portland Panto Players 2026
Panto Returns for the 2026 Season!
Panto is a family-friendly show that encourages lots of audience interaction, plenty of songs, dancing, and humor — including some wink-wink jokes for the adults. This is our eighth year of Panto, and we thank you for helping us sell out all of our prior shows.
This year's production retells the classic adventure of Alice, the Mad Hatter, the animals of Wonderland, and of course, the evil queen (BOOOO!!), while adding uplifting moments that will get both kids and adults cheering, laughing, and having a wonderful time.
Our shows sell out every year — the Queen of Hearts tells you to you grab your tickets early!

What is a Panto ?
A Story Worth Telling
Every Panto is built around a classic tale retold with wit, heart, and plenty of surprises. Alice in Wonderland gives us a world of wonder to play in — and we make the most of every rabbit hole.
Songs, Dancing & Big Laughs
Expect show-stopping musical numbers, choreographed chaos, and comedy that lands for every age in the room. Our cast brings the energy every single night.
You're Part of the Show
Panto is a theater tradition where the audience talks back — and we want you to join in. Cheer the heroes, boo the villain, and shout 'He's behind you!' as loud as you can.
Fun for the Whole Family
It's an all ages show. From the littlest theatergoers to the grandparents, Panto is designed to delight everyone. The kids get the magic; the adults get the wink-wink jokes. Everyone goes home happy.
