Alice in Wonderland, 2019!

This year's show !

Alice in Wonderland is a boisterous, family-friendly theater event. Our show follows the classic adventures of Alice, the Mad Hatter, White Rabbit, March Hare and Cheshire Cat.  You need to boo at the Queen of Hearts and her evil deck of cards and cheer the outrageous Dame as she pursues her quest for love.

The goal of Panto is to create joyous fun for everyone. The story has been adapted to include popular songs, slapstick comedy, and a few wink-wink jokes for the adults. The outrageous characters will get both kids and adults shouting, laughing, and having a wonderful time. So bring your loudest voices. With your help, Alice may discover her heart's desire.

Panto is wildly popular in England because it is truly an all-ages holiday show. You will be hard-pressed to decide if is a kid's show that also appeals to adults, or the other way around.

We have moved to the Multnomah Arts Center and seating is General Admission

Welcome to Panto !

What is Panto?

Panto (also known as Pantomime) is a British Christmas theater tradition. Pantos are loosely based on a traditional fairy tale or story and are complete with songs, dances, jokes, exaggerated characters, and lots and lots of audience participation. Panto is a wonderful way to entertain children and adults alike enlisting everyone's help to cheer on the good characters and boo the bad . And Panto always works on two levels, with plenty of clever innuendo for adults to enjoy. Panto is great entertainment for the whole family.
